Horticulturalist:
View PositionThis job includes, but is not limited to:
- Annual, perennial, shrub, and tree care.
- Tree, shrub, and soil pest control and diagnostics (IPM).
- Plant installation from cultivar selection to after care.
- Fertilization and soil chemistry optimization.
- Participation in and directing horticulturally sound pruning practices.
- Heavy machine operation – excavator, skid steer, loader, etc. a plus.
- Need excellent customer communication and relations (discuss pruning, horticulture, irrigation needs and other concerns).
- Crew management/employee training/mentoring.
- Computer proficient, including working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Education requirements: Prefer two or four year degree in horticulture or related field with a
knowledge of local landscape plant material including nomenclature, growth habits, design
considerations, pests, etc. Pesticide licensing in NY and CT also a plus.
Experience: Experience in the landscape industry, including crew management.
Must have a clean driver’s license.
Salary: $80,000-$100,000

Pesticide Technician:
View PositionResponsibilities include:
- A thorough knowledge of applying fertilizer and pest control products.
- Know-how to calibrate spreaders and sprayers and measure product properly.
- Understand and operate equipment; calibrate and maintain equipment to ensure
accurate applications. - Ensure safe and proper measuring, filling/mixing procedures, and material
dilution. Be adept at following EPA labeling and applying, with attention to detail;
mixing spray tanks for necessary applications each day. - Perform light administrative duties in DEC reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Candidates for this role should have specific experience running spray and application
equipment, which often involves heavy lifting of hoses, equipment, and products.
Must be able to work independently and be self-directed.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- NY Pesticide License preferred, not required.
- Clean and valid driver’s license required.
- Be neat in presentation and organized.
Pay: $45,000/year and up depending on experience.

Landscape Synthetic Grass/Golf Green Construction Foreman:
View PositionResponsibilities include:
- Oversee all aspects of synthetic installations of, but not limited to, golf greens, landscape, sports fields, playground, K9 projects.
- Proficient in all base work, perimeter board, grading, slant/slope ratios, drainage, and stone base compaction, have a good understanding of golf green design.
- Be able to read, understand, interpret, and execute plans, and sketches.
- Crew supervision and training.
- Safely and effectively operating commercial landscape machinery (dump trucks, loaders, sod cutter, mini excavator, transit, laser levels, power tools, etc).
- Delegate tasks and oversee the safe use of tools and equipment.
- Ensure all crew members obey health and safety regulations and protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
- Valid and clean driver’s license.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.
- Ability to provide clear written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to safely lift 75 lbs.
- Must have an interest in learning about synthetic turf installation.

Plant Health Care Technician:
View PositionResponsibilities include:
- Understand and operate equipment; calibrate and maintain equipment to ensure accurate applications.
- Ensure safe and proper measuring, filling/mixing procedures, and material dilution. Be adept at
following EPA labeling and applying, with attention to detail; mixing spray tanks for necessary
applications each day. - Maintain a safe and controlled work environment and adhere to company safety, State, and local
regulations. - Maintain open communication with consulting horticulturists/arborists and clients to provide
feedback on plant health care in a professional manner. Perform accurate and timely record-
keeping of applications. - Assist with ornamental pruning when needed.
- Winter snow plowing.
Candidates for this role should have specific experience running spray and application equipment. This is an
applicator position that requires extensive field time diagnosing problems and treating properties and often
involves heavy lifting of hoses/equipment/products.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience with pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.
- Ability to diagnose pest, nutrient, or other landscaping issues impacting trees, shrubs, and lawns understanding of what will occur under specific conditions (i.e. soil conditions, climate).
- Must be able to work independently and be self-directed.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Education requirements: Prefer a two to four year degree in arboriculture, horticulture or related field.
Industry/field experience is a plus.
Pesticide licensing in NY and CT. Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
